Fake cakes can be a treat!
Weddings are hands down expensive and if you would like to save money while you are at it, you don’t necessarily have to deprive yourself of the major needs such as getting a professional Napa wedding photographer to cover and shoot awesome wedding photos that will turn out to be one for the books so far. You can still have everything that you could possibly want by being a bit smart and practical when it comes to the things that you can actually control. It is all based on how you manoeuvre your way into it at some point or so. That is all that you technically need to remember. One cost that you can actually get out of at some point or so would have to be the aspect of paying truckloads of money for an Instagram worthy tiered cake. More often than not, and whether is this is something that you are willing to admit or not, you are really into it for the aesthetic benefits that it brings in and not technically for the taste or anything like that. You can still have a towering wedding cake without losing all of your money off of it though. Have a real cake at the base and then opt for fake ones in the multi level tiers. This will give the cake the same type of effect without stretching your budget out way too thinly to the risk of breaking it.
DIY your wedding favors.
Wedding favors don’t have to be uber expensive. They will most likely fall victim to being the latest addition in your guests dusty cupboards after the wedding anyway and this is the main reason why you should make it a point to go ahead and choose wisely while you are at it. Pick out wedding favors that they will actually be able to use. It can be anything and everything that you are good at. Do you have that special jam recipe? Put those hands to work and work on making a batch to package them into pretty looking jars along with a thank you note. Because it’s consumable and has an expiration timeline, they will surely make this a part of their breakfast supplies and they will remember you and your partner while they are at it. There are a lot of other things that you can make yourself. You just need to know what you are good at and explore them while you can.
Print your own invitations.
You don’t always have to go to a professional printer for something like this to get done, you know. You can actually get a pretty good layout from an online template or you can do it yourself and then print it out at home. It doesn’t need to take up an extra $500 or so of your wedding budget. While you are at it, make sure that important or major vendors such as your Napa wedding photographer get to have a copy of the wedding invitations as well, just so that they know the basic info such as the dress code, time and place, and the program.
Get a base wedding photography package.
Don’t burn all that money on an overpriced package. A Napa wedding photographer will be more than happy to offer you his base package if you establish what your budget is in the first place.
