The beautiful locale of Essex has its fair share of weddings annually. With the constant increase in the rate of weddings yearly, it is only rational that individuals seek out the right wedding venues to host this once in a lifetime event and as a result, we take a look at one or two of the wedding venues in Essex of high repute:
The Boreham House now serves as a dedicated wedding and events venue instead of the hotel it was constructed as. As a result of its setting, couples can be confident in the fact that the catering teams and in-house staff will be dedicated to seeing the wedding day run smoothly. This venue also provides a lovely getaway spot in the form of a bridal cottage for a luxurious and romantic wedding night for couples seeking to remain as close to home as possible
The seating capacity of the venue is quite large as it can hold up to 300 guests for a formal reception and 300 plus guests for an evening reception. The venue also has a brilliant outdoors backdrop in the form of the canopy of trees, the rectangular lake and impressive porch. For an indoor wedding, couples can be prepared to have 24ft high ceilings, solid oak paneling, original fireplaces and Tudor style staircases.
Cressing Temple Barn
Regarded as oldest timber-framed barn in the world, this venue serves as a place of choice for couples who appreciate a little bit of history. Located between Witham and Braintree, this venue serves as host to three licensed areas: The Wheat Barn, The Barley Barn and the Tudor garden. All three areas are beautiful in their own right and it is all a matter of preference for choice.
The three areas have their seating capacities with the Wheat Barn holding p to 100 guests, the Barley Barn 300 guests and the Tudor Garden 40 guests. The Cressing Temple Barn makes a successful attempt to marry the Tudor and Medieval style together so to provide a charming setting for any traditional wedding ceremony. The venue allows for an informal drinks and photography session with your guests before moving on to the reception so be sure to have wedding photographer Essex Justin Scharvona on hand for this.
Forrester Park Golf & Country Club
Any couple would be happy to have a sweeping view of greens on hand serve as the background for their wedding ceremony. This country clubhouse with its 18-hole golf course is just the right place to hold a country wedding and apart from its large seating capacity of 200, it is also licensed for civil ceremonies. Although the location is traditional in its appearance, it can host anything from small intimate events to large parties.
Wedding couples have the option of choosing between The Forrester Suite, The Club House, The Willow Room and Oak Room for their setting of choice and they all offer different seating capacities and features. There is also a hospitality team on hand to see to the smooth operation of the wedding events.
